Come and see us in our large gallery to view these art deco pieces and everything else you like. If you like anything you see on the website please let us know and we can arrange a viewing at our Canonbury Antiques Hertfordshire showroom. We are open on Saturday’s on the weekend and this is one of our most popular days. I guess as our customers are not working and can take time to fully browse and appreciate the Alladin’s Cave that is our showroom! We are open 10am to 5pm on Saturday’s so please let us know if you’d like to come by.

We are only 25 minutes north of London and are conveniently located right near where the A1 meets the M25. We are also accessible via train and the nearest station – Potters Bar – is just 15 minutes north of Kings Cross in central London. There is a minicab firm right outside the station or we can pick you up.



We also have a large range of classic farmhouse furniture – large oak refectory tables and as before we have various chairs to match includingladderback, spindleback, Windsor chairs and Mary Tudor chairs. Again you can try these out for size and comfort in the Canonbury Antiques Hertfordshire showroom beofore making the final purchase.

Other specialities of ours includes art deco furniture of all types, large bronzes and architectural pieces, French and Asian porcelain, French furniture and English antiques. Our main speciality is our range of classic English dining sets – Regency pedestal tablesVictorian dining tables, William IV in both mahogany and walnut. Around these tables we carry a whole range of matching dining chairs – Regency, Trafalgar, Chippendale, Queen Anne chairs to name a few. We can match up the perfect dining set for you to accommodate your tastes so you can try different chairs around different tables. Nothing beats sitting around these antique dining sets in person to try them out for comfort, style and size.

We are very well connected, close to M1 and right on the M25 just outside Potters Bar in Herts. Many of these goods are on display in our Hertfordshire antiques showroom so please come in and say hello. Whenever people visit we always get the same commments – ‘it’s like an Aladdin’s Cave!’ Yes, it’s packed to the rafters with all manner of furniture and objet’s d’art. One thing we ask – if there are specific things you’d like to see that you have seen on our website, please let us know the item numbers so we can check it’s on display. Nine times out of ten it will be but some of our goods are in storage as we just don’t have the room for all our stock. If it is in storage we can arrange in advance to have it ready for a viewing.

We are easily accessible from London either by car or rail. Via rail the nearest train station is Potters Bar which is just 20 minutes north of Kings Cross with at least four trains an hour. The station is around 5 minutes from the showroom by taxi – there is a taxi rank just outside the station. Most local drivers will know the Canonbury Antiques Hertfordshire showroom. The rail network in the UK is excellent and easy to use. Kings Cross is also the terminal for Eurostar – perfect for our European friends visiting from Paris, Brussels and anywhere else on the Continent.

Close to Heathrow / Luton / Stanstead Airports

For our many customers from abroad we are very close to Heathrow airport (just 25 minutes around the M25). We are also close to both Luton and Stanstead airports which are approx 30 minutes away. We have visitors from all over Europe, North and South American, Australia, Asia – in fact everywhere in the world. Our Hertfordshire antiques showroom is truly global.

That’s right, if you have your own mode of air transport you can land your helicopter in the field next door. As exactly a number of clients have over the years. If you don’t own a helicopter the Number 179 bus stops relatively close to us on the St Albans Road!

Often people who come to visit our Canonbury Antiques Hertfordshire showroom they might incorporate it with visiting some of the many local places of interest. We’re just 5 minutes down the road from historic St Albans which has a cathedral, Roman ruins and was the place of various battles during the War of the Roses. It’s a gorgeous market town with nice shopping and lunch spots.
